AUTOCHIP.LV provides professional vehicle diagnostics, including Data Logs analysis, real-time engine parameter monitoring, and exhaust gas measurements. We work like “automotive doctors” — identifying the root cause of a fault, not masking the symptoms.

We use licensed professional equipment (Autel, Launch, Autotuner, Bosch, Texa, and original dealer systems), allowing us to monitor engine operation, turbocharging, fuel delivery, sensors, and emission systems under real load conditions.

Professional vehicle diagnostics, Live Data & exhaust analysis

In many workshops, diagnostics are reduced to “plug in the scanner and clear the fault codes”. That is not diagnostics — it is only temporary masking of the problem. A fault code is a symptom, not a diagnosis.

At AUTOCHIP.LV, we approach diagnostics like medicine: we search for the root cause of the fault, not just treat the consequences. For this purpose, we use advanced Live Data and Data Logs analysis and test the vehicle under real load — on the road or on our 4WD dynamometer.

Live Data & Data Logs — real-time diagnostics

Real-time data analysis allows us to see how the engine and its systems actually operate, not how they “should” work on paper.

  • We compare ECU requested values with actual measured data
  • Analyse boost pressure, airflow, fuel delivery, and temperatures
  • Check turbocharger operation, EGR, sensors, and actuators
  • Determine whether the issue is electronic, mechanical, or software-related

For example: how much air and boost pressure the ECU requests at certain RPM and throttle position — and how much it actually delivers. This is where most “mysterious” problems are hidden.

ECU software analysis & WinOLS

We regularly work with vehicles that have undergone poor-quality chip tuning or incorrect emissions system deactivation.

AUTOCHIP.LV is one of the few workshops that performs binary ECU software comparison using professional engineering software WinOLS.

  • We read the current ECU software from your vehicle
  • Compare it with the factory original (ORI)
  • Identify all modifications and interventions
  • Check whether critical engine protection strategies are disabled

This allows us to detect dangerous solutions that may lead to engine, turbocharger, or transmission failure.

Exhaust smoke opacity measurement (diesel vehicles)

Prepare for CSDD technical inspection in advance. We perform precise smoke opacity measurements using certified equipment fully compliant with CSDD requirements.

Smoke opacity is a light absorption coefficient that indicates the amount of soot in the exhaust.

Permitted limits in Latvia:
Up to 30.06.2008 — 3.0
01.07.2008 – 31.12.2016 — 1.5
From 01.01.2017 — 0.7

The procedure takes only 10–20 minutes. If the values exceed the limits, we immediately perform diagnostics of injectors, turbo system, and intercooler to prevent costly repairs.

NEW: Particle Number (PN) measurement

From 2025, new CSDD requirements will apply in Latvia for diesel vehicles manufactured after 2013: not only smoke opacity, but also the number of solid particles (PN) will be measured.

We use modern equipment TEXA NP 01, capable of detecting microscopic particles that are invisible to standard smoke meters.

  • Verification of DPF presence and condition
  • Detection of cracked or removed DPF filters
  • Essential check before purchasing a used vehicle

Exceeding the limit (e.g. > 1 million particles/cm³) means failure of technical inspection.

Petrol engine exhaust gas analysis (Bosch)

For petrol vehicles, we perform exhaust gas analysis using professional Bosch equipment.

  • CO — incomplete combustion (rich mixture)
  • CH — unburned fuel
  • Lambda (λ) — air-fuel mixture accuracy

These measurements allow precise evaluation of the catalytic converter, oxygen sensors, and fuel system condition.
